The U.S. has been going after the remnants of the Iranian Navy.

These actions are part of a larger military operation, "Operation Epic Fury," launched by the U.S. and Israel against Iranian military infrastructure starting February 28, 2026. Secretary of War Pete Hegseth stated on March 10, 2026, that a goal of this operation was to "destroy the Iranian navy" and that over 50 Iranian naval ships had been taken out.”
